Have the #wars in Ukraine and Gaza/Israel spiked your #fears and concerns? Yes it's a while ago since the lock downs but I hear from people on a regular basis who feel they have changed a lot over the last few year and their #anxiety is heightened by the 'wars' ! It’s ok to be apprehensive but it doesn’t need to control you. Our emotions can easily confuse us and mix up excitement and fear, we get a rush of hormones, Adrenaline, Cortisol when we are fearful, and Oxytocin, Serotonin and Dopamine when we are excited. Some people only notice the ‘rushes’ and can then assume it’s a fear/anxiety state. Have you noticed you start to feel #fearful, #stressed or #anxious when you need to go out or listen to the media, your heart starts to race, your palms become sweaty, your face starts to redden or go white? This is your body reacting in a totally normal way, it’s enabling you to run, to freeze or fight, this was very helpful when we were being chased by a Sabre Toothed Tiger, but you don’t see many of those around these day (thankfully), they are now disguised as faces or pictures on the TV/Media. All those things you used to do but now are frightened of doing, it’s ok we can sort it together. Now is the best time to change how you feel to move forward (Spring into action) in a positive way.
