I’m a qualified Hypnotherapist with many years’ experience. I specialise in helping people with Stress and Anxiety and have worked with many other issues as well. I’m also a qualified Havening Practitioner, I was one of the first to qualify in the Uk. Over recent years I’ve developed Histamine Intolerance, long story, (which I’m happy to share) and I’ve noticed there is a lot of advice out there regarding diet but very little information regarding the ‘stress factor’, which I believe is vitally important, in recovery or living well with HIT, or any other intolerance/allergy. When foods/lifestyle are restricted regarding diet and socialising, stress and anxiety increase. People can become fearful of eating, continually reducing the variety of foods and still getting worse. My belief is that as their stress levels increase so do their intolerances. We all need to be mindful of stress levels whether we have intolerances, allergies or not. I have lots of ‘tools’ to help people relax and reduce stress/anxiety levels. I use them all the time if I get any of the ‘bucket overload’ symptoms. I can teach people how to use these techniques so they can help themselves and not be reliant on others. Have the #wars in Ukraine and Gaza/Israel spiked your #fears and concerns? Yes it's a while ago since the lock downs but I hear from people on a regular basis who feel they have changed a lot over the last few year and their #anxiety is heightened by the 'wars' ! It’s ok to be apprehensive but it doesn’t need to control you. Our emotions can easily confuse us and mix up excitement and fear, we get a rush of hormones, Adrenaline, Cortisol when we are fearful, and Oxytocin, Serotonin and Dopamine when we are excited. Some people only notice the ‘rushes’ and can then assume it’s a fear/anxiety state. We can all look on Google or ask Alexa - but what is it to you? *The following definition is by WHO, World Health Organisation.* It states #Stress is caused by a difficult situation. I've recently read an article by Ben Fogle, who said that #exam #stress caused him to lose his #confidence and #self esteem but sorting a dead oxygen tank out 8500M up Everest was a life saving experience {#stressful} and helped him to understand that not everyone can 'do' exams. A situation which he passed and clearly excelled at as he's still alive! Stress to me is working out how to use FB and other modalities ha ha So what is stress to you? I read an article a few week ago, the person stated that #Hypnotherapists only deal with #stress, not #weight loss and they weren't stressed, so no point in seeing a Hypnotherapist. What are their reasons for feeling they are #over weight? Another article by a #Hypnotherapist told a story about a client going to him to #lose weight, he asked about her #eating habits. She told him the only bit of her that didn't #hurt (due to #Fibromyalgia) was her mouth so she kept filling it. He worked with her to stop the #Fibromyalgia pain, she stopped filling her mouth and lost 4 stone! So what is stressing you? *Stress can be defined as a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation. Stress is a natural human response that prompts us to address challenges and threats in our lives. Everyone experiences stress to some degree. (definition by WHO) I worked with a remarkable young woman for the second time today.
She has a very #complex illness which required her to have a donor #liver and #kidney. Since our first session her liver has no sign of scarring, her creatinine levels have decreased and her kidney has improved. This has never happened in the three years since the transplant. She has an amazing #imagination and could work on improving her #issues. One of the most remarkable things about #Hypnotherapy is #imagining, not everyone sees pictures (I don't).
