Hi, I've been working in the #Complementary health care sector for nearly 30 years and involved in it for many more years. What does complementary (not complimentary) mean to you? My thoughts are that we as #health therapists working alongside your allopathic (NHS,GP, Nurse) health care provider not as an alternative to them, we are all working for the best outcome for the patient, client, person even though some medics don't always see it that way. I heard a great story the other day that someone wanted to do research into how #Hypnotherapy can help support people who have been diagnosed with cancer or receiving treatment. The senior Oncologist was very against it initially, now she is his 'chief' supporter having seen the benefits, less time in hospital, happier patients with better outcomes, less fear and more confidence. Please understand we as #Hypnotherapists DO NOT treat cancer, we support the person. This positive approach to helping people does not just refer to cancer; Hypnotherapy, Havening Technique and other therapies I offer, help clients move on to a #happier, #healthier more #confident lifestyle, #free from #Fear, #Anxiety, #Anguish, #Trauma, #Depression, #Stress and #Negativity.
