#Fear-ometer, what is it?
How are you reacting when someone says they've been in contact with someone who tested positive to corona virus? Is it igniting other #fears in your life? Are you more #fearful than usual to; the thought of #flying, seeing a #spider or forgetting to #sanitise your hands, #hugging a friend, going out for a meal or to socialise? Sitting either side of your brain, near your temples, are your #Amygdala. They do an amazing job of keeping us 'safe'. When we are facing danger, real or perceived, they burst into action and send all the relevant hormones, electro-chemical impulses and brain waves enabling us to get out of danger. Sometimes, our amygdala keeps on sending these impulses continually so we are ready at all times to run, freeze or fight. This can be exhausting, always ready to go into action!
